Hi! I’m Karla Gonzalez,  a passionate pet photographer originally from Mexico, now living in the beautiful city of Vancouver, BC.

My photography journey began not in a studio, but in the quiet, meaningful moments shared with my beloved husky, Lobo. When he came into my life, everything changed. I found myself wanting to freeze time, to capture every expression, every adventure, every quiet cuddle. My love for him was so deep that it became the spark that led me to pick up a camera and never put it down.

What started as a personal way to treasure our memories turned into a growing passion that inspired me to refine my skills, study photography, and eventually build Northern Paws Photography. Through every click, I aim to bottle up the joy, love, and magic that pets bring into our lives.

Before photography, I moved to Canada in 2019 to complete a two year diploma program. Like so many, I fell completely in love with the nature, culture, and warmth of this place, Vancouver became home. Now, I combine my love for animals and storytelling to offer something truly meaningful: authentic, heartfelt images that reflect the unbreakable bond between people and their pets.

Whether it’s your dog’s joyful smile, a shared glance full of connection, or a peaceful pause during a walk, my goal is to capture those moments with sincerity and heart, just as I do with Lobo.
